If they don't stack then Anet should at least add that in the rune description. The fact that they haven't made me want to look into it further but they should definitely add it in when the next update comes.

No rune has ever stacked, that's part of what a rune is. Just because the Absorption runes don't have the (non-stacking) tag doesn't automatically mean they stack. This has been known for a long time, and I suggest you do more reading and your own testing before making any other claims.
